Fire Safety Training: Hands-On, Scenario-Based Courses from Tower Fire

Tower Fire delivers fire safety training that goes well beyond a presentation and a tick on a form. Every course is led by an active or retired professional firefighter, delivered on your premises, and built around the specific layout, occupancy, and risk profile of your organisation.

Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, all staff must receive fire safety training appropriate to their role. That obligation begins on day one of employment and requires regular refresher sessions throughout. We make sure your people are genuinely prepared, not just nominally compliant.

Why Fire Safety Training Is a Legal Requirement

Why Fire Safety Training Is a Legal Requirement

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 places a clear duty on the responsible person to ensure every member of staff receives adequate fire safety training. This covers induction training for new starters, role-specific fire warden training and fire marshal training, and periodic refresher courses for all employees.

Failure to provide adequate training can result in enforcement action, including improvement notices and, in serious cases, prosecution. Properly trained staff are the single most important factor in a safe, orderly evacuation.

Our Fire Safety Training Courses

We offer a full range of fire safety training courses covering every level of your organisation, from general staff through to senior management.

Trained by Professional Firefighters:

What Makes
Tower Fire
Different

Our trainers are not classroom instructors with a certificate. Every member of our training team is an active or retired professional firefighter who has responded to real emergencies. That experience shapes every session of fire safety training we deliver.

Sessions use smoke machines, mannequins, and recreations of real fire events to make the training as realistic as possible. Your staff will know exactly what to do when an alarm sounds because they have practised it, not just read about it.

What Our Fire Safety Training Covers

What Our Fire Safety Training Covers

Every course is tailored to your premises, but our fire safety training courses consistently cover:
  • How to read a fire alarm panel and the correct response to an alarm activation
  • The causes, chemistry, and behaviour of fire in a workplace environment
  • Evacuation procedures, including progressive horizontal fire evacuation training for care settings and high-rise buildings
  • Rescue techniques, use of evacuation aids, and how to assist the fire service on arrival
  • The responsibilities of fire wardens, marshals, and senior managers under current UK legislation

On induction for new starters, then at least annually for fire wardens and marshals, and regularly for all other staff whenever there are changes to the premises or personnel.

Fire wardens manage evacuation and account for occupants. Fire marshals cover incident command, coordination across larger premises, and direct liaison with the fire service.
